Venus

I did this piece on a 30 by 40 inch canvas in oils - I found doing them larger makes you go after a lot more detail in the water - I went with the green hues in the water because I thought it contrasted much better to the blues of the moon lit sky.The Idea to call it Venus came at the end - I wanted a focus point and thought it ironic to add a single white dot to the center and have that be the subject of the entire painting.
